Pry Tool Usage

  1. To install a SATA hard drive, insert the pry tool into the slot on the top of the NVR (any position along the red dashed line), gently pry open the OPEN cover.
  2. After installing the SATA hard drive, align the arrow-marked end of the OPEN cover with the corresponding position on the NVR as shown, then press to secure it into place. Do not install in reverse.
  3. Ignore this if you do not need to install a SATA hard drive.

App Download and Setup

App Download

Download the O-KAM Pro app from the App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play (for Android devices). When registering an account, tap Skip to bypass all cloud-based ads. All video recordings from cameras paired with the NVR will be stored locally on the NVR itself.

Notes:

  • Connect the NVR to your router during initial setup.
  • Place the camera near the NVR (within 1 meter).
  • Complete system setup in the app before installing the camera.
  • Enable Bluetooth on your phone before connection.

Add NVR via App

Add via QR Code Scan

Open the app, tap the "+" icon in the top-right corner, scan the QR code on the NVR, and follow the on-screen instructions to add the device. Note: Please scan the QR code on the NVR, not the camera.

Add via Bluetooth

Before connecting, please make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. On the app homepage, tap the "+" icon in the top-right corner. After automatic searching, select the detected Bluetooth device to add.

Add Camera to NVR

The NVR supports both Ethernet and WiFi connection. Please configure according to your actual needs. If camera signals are weak (offline, limited access, frozen video), we recommend switching to an Ethernet connection.

Once the device is added and WiFi is selected, you may disconnect the NVR from your router. All included cameras are pre-paired with the NVR before shipment. If any camera disconnects unexpectedly, repair it to the NVR: On the NVR kit page, tap "+" to add a sub-device and pair the camera.

Note: Before pairing, check the camera addition interface on the NVR.

If all channels CH1 – CH6 display device information, all channels are occupied and no additional cameras can be added. If channels are full, delete unused channels first, then pair as instructed.

One-Click Pairing

Step 1: Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds to reset the camera.

Hand inserting a pin into the reset hole on the underside of the camera

Step 2: On the app home page, tap "..." on the far right and select "Add sub-device" to enter the adding interface. The camera will be automatically searched and added to the NVR. Tap "Done" after the camera is added.

Find a suitable location before installing the camera. To determine the installation position, you need to test the wireless signal strength. In the app, go to Camera Settings > Health > Test WiFi. Bring the camera and your phone to the desired installation spot to check the signal. If the wireless signal is weak, move the camera closer to the NVR.

Mount the camera at a height of 2–3 meters (7–10 feet) above the ground for optimal motion detection performance. Avoid installing the camera near areas with strong air movement, such as air conditioner vents, equipment cooling vents, fans, or curtains.

To ensure that no detection is missed, do not install the camera directly facing the monitoring area. Instead, maintain an angle to avoid any potential bind spots.

Key Features

AI

The AI requires internet connectivity and installation of hard drive or SD card for download and usage. Users can select their preferred channels for intelligent configuration. It supports facial recognition and facial detection, allowing the creation of facial databases to distinguish strangers. Users can search for specific AI events via attribute search or image search to quickly locate incidents.

Precautions

Select an Installation Location

Step 1: Mount the camera within the WiFi range of the NVR, and connect the camera to a 12V DC power supply.

Step 2: If the NVR and the camera are successfully paired, the NVR will establish a connection and display the video feed within 1 minute (or less).

Step 3: If the video fails to display, external factors may be interfering with the wireless signal. For example, interference between the NVR and camera may be excessive, the camera may be too far from the NVR, or the antennas may be misaligned. Try moving the camera closer to the NVR or adjusting the antennas to a vertical position.

Installation Precautions

  1. The device must be kept away from moisture, high temperatures, and strong magnetic fields. Install it in a well-ventilated location.
  2. Please use SATA hard drives purchased through official channels.
  3. Ensure the device is properly grounded. The power supply must operate within the rated voltage range. Use of the provided standard power adapter is strongly recommended.
  4. Do not cut power to the device directly while it is running. Always shut down via the system software first to prevent potential damage to the hard drive.
