Dark Night Image and Installation Precautions
If your camera's night vision image appears dark or unclear, this guide will help you troubleshoot the issue and ensure proper installation.
Common Cause
The device may not have night vision function enabled. Click Live Preview > More > Night Vision on the App and select Black and White Night Vision or Smart Night Vision. If your camera supports Full Color Night Vision, you can also try switching to Full Color Night Vision.
Installation Precautions
If the image is still relatively dark after enabling the night vision function, it is usually caused by the incorrect installation. To ensure better night vision, the following precautions should be taken during installation.
Avoid Direct Light, Close Occlusion, and Too Open Space

Do not install in a backlight scene, avoid direct exposure, such as sunlight, light signs, counters, etc.

The installation should avoid close occlusion, especially reflective objects such as tiles and white walls.

Avoid excessively empty scenes such as the device being directly exposed to the water surface.

Full color night vision mode and smart night vision mode are not recommended for indoor use.
